Something is changing with track & field. The team is out of the MVC basement and producing PRs and placing better than they ever have in the past in either the HL or the MVC. This is good.

We need to listen to 62 on this as he remains in the Valpo record book for the javelin!  Of course, I believe his effort is in the "prehistoric" category or some such clarification, so I believe in those days of old you just picked up a local branch and gave it your all!

Prehistoric:  World class throwers (not me) were throwing further than a full football field's length and it became increasingly dangerous.

Modern:  So they changed the weight, weight distribution and aerodynamics of the spear thus reducing achievable distance.
