I don't see the big ordeal of giving Ivan a spot at the end of the bench.  It would have kept Skara and helped with potential Euro recruits.  Programs do it all the time and I don't necessary think its slimy.

Meh. i'd rather have CA

glad i was wrong. Also looking at the username of those videos we know who it is now. Ismscout. Which brings me to this. Why/how did Skara get to play NCAA ball if there's an agent involved?!

That is the lowest of the low. If it's him i'm done with him.

Love Skara and what he was capable of bringing to the team, would have been huge for us this coming year. Injuries really hampered his progress this past season, but you could still see it was all coming together at the end. So sorry to see him go.

Let the speculation begin... "They're getting a steal, a complete steal," said Chris Artis, the associate head coach of Midwest Elite's post-graduate team who recently was named the coach of the newly created high school team.

"He's going to be really, really good, and he's only going to get better. He's a basketball sponge, works real hard, high IQ, deceptively athletic. He has that Euro step down, long stride and he can dunk on you.
  Could it be????
Exactly my first thought. Say it aint so man!

Who is he close to? Who wanted to get hired? Is it that serious to leave if you don't get your way?

My Guess:  AAU people.

He didn't play AAU. He did the prep school. I have my own ideas on who it is but i HOPE it's not him.

Guess I wasn't talking so crazy. Relvao is tough to give up but either way someone was going to get squeezed out of a scholarship. I figured no way it's Smits and it would have looked very bad to do a current player that way.
#8
I highly doubt Davidson is gone. The team has been working out and he's been there.  My money is on Relvao.

If I had to guess, this will be taken care of easily. I say that one of the newcomers won't make it on campus and it won't be the one with the NBA pedigree.
#10
It will get resolved when they figure out who's getting "Creaned". He's coming back though.

As hoopfan22 mentioned earlier, Vashiel could be back for another year. The wind blows pretty strong in Valpourainsnow, Windyana.
I can see where everyone would like to see this happen, but I'm not convinced that the NCAA would rule differently than before.  If Valpo and Vashil are petitioning the NCAA for another year - great.  But, I won't get my hopes up for a positive outcome.  If Vashil was granted another year, what happens to the roster?  We are already at the max scholarships, so someone would need to transfer or pay their own way.  Can anyone even give us a "no comment" on whether or not Valpo/Vashil are seeking another year?

It's a pretty open secret at this point. I've heard from no less than 5 sources that he's been granted the year.

I can't be the only one that's gotten wind of this.
#13
Well something has to happen to make way for Vashil's return.

Vashil Fernandez sat out his first season right?

So he played 3. If he's graduating on time, can't they petition the NCAA for that year back? Couldn't he possibly get the 4th year to play or has that been put totally to bed? Also, if he were to come back, what does that do to the roster?

Vashil lost his first year due to eligibility concerns with a team he played on in Jamaica.  He would not be eligible to get that back.
Was there an official ruling? Has he left?

I'm more worried about Roger Powell leaving during the summer, than for Bryce to leave this year, as he recruited many of our current players from the Chicagoland area.  I have been hoping that if Bryce leaves, that Roger would take over for a few years, to have some form of continuity.

Bryce Leaves, Roger Leaves. IMO. Roger leaves before bryce though. I wouldn't be shocked if he's gone this offseason.

um...when they start winning everything the next three years would be a safe bet.
Until then, the stock is down, and that's fine with me.

If he's offered he better take it. As much as people want to get offended his stock IS low. No telling when it's going to go up again with this team.

Buzz was at the Fieldhouse in Merrillville yesterday. Midwest Elite had a practice there. He had to be looking at Skara although I left immensely impressed with Zoran Talley. How did we not get him.

To clarify, I don't think they were asking to go to every game free. One maybe a year or every other year.

I bet Brandon Wood doesn't pay to go to any MSU games.
