FW papers say that IPFW will play their 2nd round game at Ohio U.

Interesting!

http://www.collegeinsider.com/college-basketball-tournament/schedule-results.php

and the IPFW and VMI athletics web pages all say IPFW @ VMI.

I wonder where we would have slotted in, if we'd won.  Clearly some additional team would have to host a game, making it hard to predict.  Hosting IPFW?  @ ETSU or @ Murray State?  Could have been @ IPFW, I suppose.

I imagine that we would have hosted IPFW.  I can't think that they would have placed us @ ETSU, for a second game there this season.  Even though they don't use the same logic as the NIT, I would hope they would avoid regular season matchups for as long as possible.

IPFW beat Akron last night before a near sellout of 1,476.

Near sellout?  1500 fans?  Was this played at a local high school?

no, because it wasn't the HL Tourney ca. 2015, according to some on this board.

IPFW stopped playing at the Memorial Coliseum in Ft Wayne and starting playing back at their on campus facility which doesn't have near the seating that the Coliseum has. It didn't make sense to rent a bigger building that you normally don't come close to filling.
