SO... Milwaukee is not having a good season.  to wit:

11/11/12    at South Carolina TV    Columbia, SC    L, 82-75
11/17/12    vs. Davidson TV    Klotsche Center    W, 73-68
11/19/12    at Arkansas-Little Rock    Little Rock, Ark.    L, 59-43
11/24/12    vs. Jacksonville    Puerto Vallerta, Mexico    L, 71-66
11/25/12    vs. Rider    Puerto Vallerta, Mexico    L, 74-60
12/01/12    at Northern Iowa TV    Cedar Falls, Iowa    L, 72-61
12/05/12    vs. Buffalo    Klotsche Center    L, 52-72
12/07/12    vs. Northern Illinois    Klotsche Center    W, 80-73 (OT)
12/09/12    at DePaul    Rosemont, Ill.    L, 84-50
12/12/12    at Fairfield    Bridgeport, Conn.    L, 62-46
12/15/12    vs. Tennessee Tech TV    Klotsche Center    L, 69-58
12/22/12    at Wisconsin TV    Madison, Wis.    L, 74-53
12/29/12    vs. Ohio Dominican    Klotsche Center    W, 95-80
01/03/13    at Detroit TV    Detroit, Mich.    L, 74-59
01/05/13    at Wright State    Dayton, Ohio    L, 53-51

1-12 in the last 13, and that one was an OT win at home against Northern Illinois.  But i will say that game against Wright State was a nail biter.

Anyone going to the Klotsche Center for the 1PM tip?  We have Student Bus(s) and at least one "alumni" bus heading up...  Let's make it a VU home game in their 3,750 seat arena.

A weird game.  Very hard to predict which team will show up, the one that beat Davidson, lost to South Carolina by 7 on the road, or more recently lost to WSU by 2 also on the road, or, the team that lost to DePaul by 34.  I think that we will get a good game from them--playing against Valpo is always an incentive.

I like the way we are playing right now, Valpo by 7 62-55

...again, though, don't overreact to the name "south carolina"...South Carolina is currently ranked 224 (RealTime).

South Carolina UPSTATE...currently ranked 194.  They're ahead of the BCS school.

For point of reference, the South Carolina team they played so well on the road is in fact worse than Green Bay (222).

Now, Davidson, that's the inexplicable one, that's true.

But JORDAN AARON, man...like Kobe without the success rate.

Tears - not so much.  But I do realize that what goes around, comes around.  In the 2008-09 season, the RPI rankings of the Horizon League had two teams at the bottom:

And in '12-13, those teams are at or near the top:

OK... just saw the Crusader and IMC folks at lunch today drumming up some business... seems there are 22 seats left on the Student Bus.  For $25 they get the bus ride, game ticket, lunch buffet (Salmon, Chicken or Beef) that INCLUDES BEER /WINE for those over 21.   They just started putting up signs...signup through email to:  VALPOATHLETICS@VALPO.EDU

OK, How do you explain losing to WSU by 2 on the road?  These guys are hard to figure unless WSU is also a fraud (like UICs record may not have truly shown their ability)

Wow - I won't think I realized how high the top was that year

24    Butler    16-4     25-5    0.6084    96     0.5319
52    Cleveland St.    16-6     22-10    0.5754    114     0.5227
71    Wisc. Green Bay    13-6     21-9    0.5580    158     0.4966
93    Wright St. 14-7 20-13

Though 2010-2011 was fairly similar (but with Valpo in the number three slot).

$25 ??     Wow.     That's tempting enough to get yourself up early and just fight through the fact that you spent a late night at one of the poetry readings.

valpotx

It was also the year that Haanpaa and Bouchie left us late in the summer period, not allowing for us to recover to get anyone else of worth into the team.  I wouldn't read too much into us going from second to last that year to champion last year, as it was a fluke occurrence that put us near the bottom

Valpo an 11 point favorite now. 2 full busses of fans...Valpo taking over Milwaukee!

My family will be at the game...   Can't wait  :-)

I'll be in attendance, along with wifey, uncle ('92 ?), and aunt.  Last time seeing Rowdy in person, gonna do my best to appreciate it ... win, lose, or draw.

Someone mentioned beer.  Since this is at the Klotche Center (on campus?) instead of US Cellular Arena (off campus), I'm thinking there will be no beer sales during the game?  Luckily, plenty of libations about town for post-game NFL playoffs enjoyment....

Valpo by 17.  Broeky puts up a double-double and Cool Ranch goes for 20.  Also expecting a breakout game for Jordan Coleman...by the end of the night we may not be calling him COLE-man, it may be DIAMOND-man.   :rotfl:
