No surprise, Stephanie Lang is not on the roster.  We did add a quick point guard out of Michigan who was headed to Ferris State but followed the coach to VU.

Where did Betsy Adams transfer to?

interesting... they also have a butler transfer on their roster. that could make for a nice little in-team friendly rivalry.

It seems their Coach Smesko is from the midwest and recruits very well here. He has girls from Indiana (Betsy, one from New Pal and one from Seymour), Ohio (3), Illinois (2), Wisconsin (1) and Pennsylvania (1).

Plus their top assistant is former VU Assistant Abby Scharlow.

It appears this year's squad will be built for speed. We have 6 or 7 guards, and no size. I'd have these girls in the gym, putting up a LOT of shots. Our success this year will probably hinge on our shooting percentages. It's not likely our rebounding, or second chance points will be a major factor.
Hopefully, we can keep enough healthy bodies on the floor this season to make some noise. A rotation of 6 or 7 like last season won't get it done.
Any ideas on when the schedule will come out? I can't remember when we saw it last year.

Stef's playing volleyball at DIII Olivet College in Michigan. I assume she might also do basketball, but the site isn't updated for this season yet.
Not a big surprise to me. I interviewed her when she was a freshman and she mentioned that volleyball was her first sport and she would love the opportunity to play both VB and WBB in college. I'll bet she simply wanted to play some sport at the best level she could, which is why she gave DI basketball a shot, choosing VU over Bowling Green and any others that were interested. Since transferring, I'm sure she's having a great time at Olivet, and it's fairly beautiful campus to be at having visited Olivet myself during a road trip last year.
