The Elkhart Truth talked a little about Tommy's injuries and illnesses over the last few years.

Not sure if anyone else clicked the projected Bracket link on this site, but they have Valpo playing Baylor in the first round.

IMO BWs is the worst place ever for wings.  There is a Wings Etc off Sillhavy that has better food and better service.

Tony's pizza is awesome, again in my opinion, better than Greeks or Gelsosimos.  The deep dish, which isn't quite like Gino's or any Chicago deep dish is the way to go.

My typical game weekend (this weekend happens to be one) includes:
A stay at holiday inn express or Hampton decent price and kept up pretty well
Tony's pizza(amazing but cash only)
The game
Duffys place, pass times, and north sides for "refreshments"

Missed that game.  Good to hear.  Hope that means he's healthy and will be working hard during the off season and will be making a positive impact for the seasons to come.  His father was my AD in high school and his grandfather is one of the best high school coaches in Indiana.  I'd love to see him make a huge turn around and contribute to a team that will come back next year as a favorite in the conference.

Does anyone know what Tommy's status is currently?  I know he's been out for testing or something....is he sticking around?

Valpo Basketball / Re: The "Butler Hangover"

I have to say I was a little disappointed that Game Day was at Missouri and not Butler the week of the Super Bowl.  I think if Detroit was as good as projected and Butler was somewhere near the top of the league this year we would have seen Game Day at a Horizon school.  Would have been great publicity for the Horizon League.

I've been looking for a youtube video of the top 10 from last night.  Does ESPN have these online anywhere or has anyone found it on youtube?  A link would be awesome if you have.

From the Times....
"Drew said redshirt sophomore Tommy Kurth was not on the bench against Green Bay due to an undisclosed illness. Kurth was scheduled for some tests Thursday while home with his parents and is not expected to be in Detroit but will make the trip to Dayton for a game against Wright State on Sunday."

I'm headed down from South Bend.  Looking forward to a good game and a great time as always in Indy.  Hopefully it includes some Valpo gear wearing in Broad Ripple after a nice lopsided Valpo victory.  I didn't realize that the Big 10 Title game was that weekend also.  Anyone know ticket costs for those?

@BrandonWood30 "Coach K said great game Brandon and you had a great coach at Valpo in Homer Drew

This was Brandon's tweet shortly after the game last night.  Thought that was pretty cool of both Coach K and Brandon after such an important game.

Quite disappointed to find out there is no "midnight" practice this year.  Some awesome times there when I was in school.  Seems to me like a lack of interest probably comes from a lack of planning and organization on the part of the administration.  Hope to see this come back in future years.

I'm not sure how the stats stack up to some of the others, but in the last decade my favorite guard to watch was Ron Howard.

UNO has also been in the news quite a bit the past couple weeks with the announcement of the new College Hockey conferences that were needed after the Big Ten was able to create their own conference and shake things up.

The MLB Draft basically goes on forever until all of the clubs pass on making a selection.

The occasional chant of "bullsh!t" or the more clever "nuts and bolts we got screwed" or "elevator elevator we got the shaft" have their place in basketball games from high school to college, I think it's part of the fun and a way to express displeasure.

While I was in school at VU I personally hated when the chant to Rock and Roll Part II went from "Hey you suck" to "Hey VU" and from "we're gonna beat the hell out of you" to "v-a-l-p-a-r-a-i-s-o" that was something fun exciting, and lets be honest not any worse than what is heard at every other college game in the country.

In other words, let the kids be kids. Tell them they can't have fun at games and its not wonder that kids that went to high schools where basketball games were fun and exciting don't come to games and sit in the library.

Of those 7 to 10 games that Boggs will miss half of them will be against worthless NAIA/D3 schools any how....

Should we ever need to run the Pacer play again he should be pretty good inbounding.  He did start at QB as a freshman for one of the top football schools in the state.

Can someone tell me why we can't schedule a home/home series with Baylor?  I heard our coach may have an inside source there that can help with scheduling.
