Noticed this list on Twitter when the HL's Bill Potter took the writer to task for omitting Valpo.

The Nebraska/New Mexico/SLU and Murray games grab the headlines, but they should also be mentioning Kent State and Missouri State as quality opponents.  Not to mention that IPFW, IUPUI and Oakland are projected in the top 6 of the Summit.  Add in a MAC team in NIU and you've clearly got one of the better schedules I've seen from Valpo in a while.

Based on Saturday's performance, it looks like Valpo is poised to take advantage of the tough schedule to earn some national attention and build that at-large resume.  The pieces are really coming together.

We are going to be very good....but I don't think we can base anything off an exhibition with a non-D1 opponent

So, if I told you that next year the basketball team would open with Indiana--AT HOME, play at Butler, at Duke, have St. Louis at home, and play at Louisville and Michigan, with Louisville returning the game the following year, would you be excited?

Well, that's not next year's men's schedule, that's THIS YEAR'S Women schedule.

Here's Coarch Dorow's season preview:

That was absolutely fantastic!  What a fine job by these students and, the analysis was spot on!

Nicely done!  I've got a kid studying Sports Journalism, so I'm always interested to see what platforms schools are providing for their students to hone their skills.  VUTV looks like a nice setup!

IMO, the discussion of where Broekhoff will play (3 vs. 4) depends largely on how the other guys play.  He'll be on the court and can play both spots, so if the bigs (KVK, Capo, Vashil) demand minutes, he'll play more at the 3.  If Dority and Rossi play well, he'll log more minutes at the 4.  His versatility allows Bryce to put his best 5 on the floor.

I sort of disagree that Ryan will be more of a threat from the arc at the 3 ... I think he is actually more effective from the perimeter when being guarded by a bigger, slower defender.

I completely agree. I think Ryan can get more shots when guarded by a 4 vs. a 3.
