Alec gaining Bosnian citizenship could be that the league has a rule that teams could only have a certain amount of international players.  The league may mandate a certain amount of European players. 

I know the mls and usl do this. 

Or maybe Alec can play on the Bosnian national team and make the Olympics

However, the current RPI ranking of MVC teams looks more like the HL when were kings.

I've made good money this season by betting Valpo first half and fading second half.

You would be surprised how getting the right coach can improve the program.  Look at Lincoln riley and usc. 

Look at Bryce at valpo.  It was the same culture but he still had success

Really don't care the perception of it, Ivan  vujic would have been a better hire than Matt.  Guaranteed we would be competitive.  He actually had coaching experience! 

Two separate halves for sure. 

Knew this was coming 5 years ago.  Doesn't make it any better. 

Just wish the people in charge didn't make that contract extension.  It was a knee jerk reaction just like hiring a young guy who had never been head coach (not even ymca or boy club) immediately after NCAAT apprearences and conference championship appearances.

Being the first team to win a championship is not a VERY big deal. 

Men's soccer was the first one to win the HL.  Where is that program now? 

I don't know Lottich but can say with confidence he wouldn't get arrested for assault and battery as the Texas coach just did. 

I wonder if those who were making excuses for him 2-3 years ago will speak up.  Surely they finally see what many of us saw a long time ago.

Really wish we didn't have to wait and continue to lose season after season in order to prove you guys wrong. 

Experiment is an appropriate word for Lottich's first contract.  Even though at the time we had the luxury of not experimenting.......

Dumb is the appropriate word for lottich's second contract. 

0-2 to start conference.  When was the last time that happened?

I would rather have a Q and A with the folks on here who swore Lottich just needed time and had some bad luck.

When we were ranked regionally and not nationally......We were ahead of Butler, Drake, Bradley.  Correct me if I'm wrong.   It's been several years and I could be mistaken. 

Stonehill?  D1? Had to google them.  Everyone d1 now.  So many teams have made the jump in the last 5 years

Yes, but I loved being ranked against Arkansas and Oklahoma state and being ahead of them.  Loved it. 

Until they pass us......

Overall, the soccer program wasn't successful.  However, it was the first Valpo sport to win a HL season title. 

Would be willing to bet head coach Lottich's salary is similar to associate head coach diebler's salary.
