Speaking of OOC opponents, I thought it would be interesting to now look at those teams to see who has done the best (record only), which was truly our best win and which was our worst loss.
Here is where they stand at the moment: Lindy's Predicted Finish
IPFW 21-7 1st in Summit 4th
Oregon 20-6 2nd in PAC-12 5th
Belmont 19-9 1st in their div,. of the OVC 1st
Ball State 17-9 1st in their div., of the MAC last
Oregon State 15-9 8th in the PAC-12 6th
Iona 15-10 2nd in the MAAC 1st
Rhode Island 14-12 8th in the A-10 2nd
Indiana State 13-14 6th in the Valley 6th
Missouri State 11-16 7th in the Valley 7th
Chicago State 4-24 Last in the WAC last
So, on record alone our best win was against IPFW and our worst loss was to (not counting Wright State) Ball State. Many were ready to jump out of a window after that loss but Ball State is playing much better than predicted. Rhode Island would have been much better with EC Matthews but then again perhaps we wouldn't have won that game with him on the floor.
Five teams either in 1st or 2nd in their conference races. Not to shabby.
And Oregon St. while 8th is still on the bubble for an at large bid to the NCAA tourney. We have wins over 2 NCAA teams right now with a potential 3rd. I'd say that's solid OOC scheduling.
