Will 3 be a charm as we seek 3 in a row and our 3rd conference road win with 3 regular-season games to follow?

Thought I'd add [update] this thread for those interested in seeing opponents' pre-game and post-game thoughts. I'll keep adding them as I find them. If you find any I've missed, let me know.

Not sure if this was posted before and (as we tend to favor generic thread titles with sprawling content) difficult to find if so, but here was CBS's ranking of teams in the state of Indiana as of November 7.  It'll be interesting to see how this shakes out in the end.

Quote1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

As has been the case for a decade now, basically, Indiana's four big programs are all national relevant and plenty interesting. But behind preseason ACC POY pick Bonzie Colson (pictured), Notre Dame's the clearcut choice in the Hoosier State. Colson will go bingo-bango with senior point guard Matt Farrell. The Fighting Irish look to be a little bit better than Purdue, and then there's a solid drop-off before getting to Butler, Indiana and Ball State.

The rest
2. Purdue
3. Butler
4. Indiana
5. Ball State
6. Valparaiso
7. Indiana State
8. Evansville
9. Fort Wayne
10. IUPUI

We're 8 games into the schedule with our 3-point shooting percentage and attempts way down.  Some have wondered aloud when it will get back to normal, but I'm wondering whether this is the new normal, including where Alec is concerned.  It's very obvious to see where Alec has improved his game, but I wonder if the work and focus on those elements has had an impact on his shooting.   Jubril, will be Jubril, which is that he'll shoot a high percentage because he'll only shoot selectively and Lexus seems to have a good stroke, but beyond that who are the others that will get us back to form, if at all?  Can we get far without it?  We're 7-1 and you can make a case that the poor perimeter shooting has made the games closer than they could have been, but the results are still good.

Valpo Basketball / Scores of Interest and Amusement

I thought I would start this topic for scores that are discussion-worthy, but aren't Horizon League related, necessarily.  As we experience this season with unrealistically-high expectations, we'll no doubt be in need of the kind of perspective that only stepping out of the Horizon League can provide.  To kick it off, Western Illinois beat #17 Wisconsin, Belmont beat Marquette, and Green Bay has currently taken Stanford to OT.
