Title: ESPN3 Coverage
Post by: vu72 on December 15, 2014, 09:53:45 AM
Do all Horizon League games now go through ESPN3?  And if so, is the Horizon League being paid for this by ESPN?  We have always thought of Horizon League broadcasts as "free", but some TV packages do not automatically include ESPN, thus requiring subscription and cost.

There are certain games that are purchased and run through ESPN3. I can't find which ones exactly, but it's usually the bigger HL games that aren't going to be on ESPN 2 or U.

It's more then that.  Every home game now, when clicking on the video feed button, take you to ESPN3.

Yes, it seems the entire network of men's and women's home basketball games for the HL is on ESPN3. I suppose this is their easier way of getting fans to pay for it in a hidden lump sum than letting each school use HLN as a fundraiser where they can set their own prices for showing the games?
