I guess I'm in the minority here. I will be cheering For Bryce at Vandy and watch whenever I can. I follow Baylor pretty closely and have them listed under my favorites on my ESPN account. Vandy will be added to the list. I don't know how anyone can have any animosity towards him, the man took a promotion. He's pursuing a dream. I will never knock anyone who does that and shame on any of you who seem to be doing just that.

This pretty much sums it up. The animosity is just silly.

But, mostly anonymous message board and all, you have to wonder how many distinct individuals those five names represent. And whether they're actually gone.

I believe it has been pretty well established that LAA and Saders are the same person.

So, Bryce was reaching out about another job opportunity while still in his current job?  None of us would ever do that.  Shame on him.

We should be proud that we have a program that is of such quality that the Big 12 and SEC wants our coaches.  I'm a bit sad to see Bryce go and this era end, but frankly I think Lottich is going to take us to new heights.

I dunno - some schools moved quickly, jobs were already coming off the table. If he'd already identified the job as "very special", can't blame him for putting in a bookmark.

Very glad this is staying in-house.  You all will be happy with the hire when you hear from ml at the presser.  Players are staying, looks good for Alec too.

Bryce and his family made this program over 30 years.  The Drew name is synonymous with Valpo basketball.  He doesn't need to say anything for everyone to understand his commitment/love for Valpo.  He made the presser about Vandy, appropriately so.  I'm sure he has been and will be effusive about VU in some of his additional interviews and probably will release a statement of some kind praising Valpo.

Most coaches would say something to the effect of, 'I will always have a lot of fond memories of Valpo, that I will cherish forever.  I am looking forward to this new challenge, as I feel that we can compete for a national championship in what to me, is a destination job.'  I am not saying that it needed to be overly effusive in praise for Valpo, but he was given a great opportunity to make this simple statement that conveys such a simple message of appreciation.  I don't even think that he said the name of our school, instead referring to Valpo as 'they' and 'that program.'

It's going to be okay, bud.

I believe it's time to admit our mistake and ask/beg Keith to return.  We would have been to the NCAA tourney 1-2 times if we had stayed the course with him.

I think we should be worried about the Texas opening.  Bryce is a hot name, Scott and family are in Texas, and it is a great job.  This is the kind of position I think Bryce would leave for...and grandma and grandpa might follow.

Magic Sports has a ton of stuff...entire room dedicated to VU, VHS and Victory.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Keith Freeman brought back. 

On the plus side, this is the biggest debate involving the most people on this board regarding women's basketball since i've been here (almost 3 years, I think).  So, enthusiasm is still there.

Best the team has looked since the Freeman era...still a long way to go to reach those heights, but it's a great start!

Is listening to soccer better or worse than watching soccer?    But seriously congrats to the women!!

Brandon Vickery is still a struggle to listen to.  That's completely subjective and probably unfair, but I find it difficult.

Can I ask what makes me a struggle to listen to?
