Title: Nick Robinson -locked in
Post by: crusadermoe on July 09, 2018, 05:11:02 PM
Did others see the news release that we have Nick Robinson locked in as a transfer from St. Joseph of the A-10?    I need to read again to see when he is eligible. Maybe not until 2019-2020.

Good news.  He is 6'6" guard.  We have a lot of point guard size guys.

Really interesting to hear that Bryce wasn't a big fan of Nick Robinson's game. Or maybe he didn't think he was a fit on that teams roster. I know he liked Zion Morgan who was his HS teammate. Robinson always felt like a player with a higher ceiling.

Coach Lottich's teams seem to have more athleticism on them. It could also be that being in the MVC allows them to recruit better athletes. Bryce was all about the system. I think we're still in the process of learning what Lottich's system will be. His first team really was Bryce's players.

I saw that as well.  One cannot help but think maybe that information was not supposed to be made public.  Pure conjecture here, but might that have been something that Lottich told Robinson in confidence while he was in high school to maintain Lottich and Robinsons' relationship?  Hope that does not drive a wedge between Drew and Lottich.  I am certain Bryce has much more important things on his mind, just a thought.

It's probably just a case of the coaching staff being very candid with recruits with where they stand in their recruitment with the team. I doubt their would be any tension but the Drews and Coach Lottich. I
