Felt like every break and call went UNI's way down the stretch, they also made the shots they needed to.   Robinson fighting injury? or falling out of favor?  Whenever AJ Green wants to go pro, that's fine with me.  Not unexpected...still hate losing.

Quick, someone break the stream!

Nice to be able to watch half time.  Take out that first 4 minutes and what a half that was!  Unfortunate to give up a couple of late 3s

If we could hit a few threes, then watch out!  Would like to see it though.

Can't we wait until the end of the season to start trying to predict the exit(s)? Even the players themselves can't be sure of their own decisions yet...still way too much season left to play out.

At some point, the players just have to execute.  SIU D is good, but the guys made unbelievably few of their make able shots, FTs, lay ups, etc.  Terrible performance.  Burn the tape.  Get back to who you are.

THIS IS WHY IT'S IMPORTANT FOR A TEAM TO LEARN TO NEVER GIVE UP!  ...I'll admit...I did.   :-[  (still kept watching though).

I will say this, though.  I do fully believe that this team can still find it and get hot before the end of the year.  Ryan or not.     The team has shown that they never ever give up and that is admirable.

I don't get into officiating so much but the free throw disparity...at home...was 6-30!  And those two calls on Kiser at the beginning were awful (it ended up a 3 pt game btw).  Every drive seemed to be a charge...it's just unbelievable!  Doesn't excuse the loss, but G-dD@Mit, I'm tired of all of this.

Rinse and freakin' repeat.

I want to see the FT disparity, once the stats are updated.  The Arkansas announcers on SXM, seemed to think that all were valid fouls, but I have to believe we gave up 20 more FTs than we took.  Also, I can't get over the main announcer using Freeman-Liberty and Liberty-Freeman interchangeably all game.  At least pick 1 version!!

Good fight, against a team that will probably end up in the top 4 of the SEC.  Wish I could have watched it live.

Todd just said 31-11.

And secondly, a really tough way to finish it off.  When it was 18-5, I thought I'd be shutting it down early.  Proud of the fight, wish they had finished it...obviously.

First, may I say, thank you Todd for an exhilarating ride.

Great second half.  Crusaders have been on the road for a week, so no matter if High Point is terrible, its a good win.  Need to have better starts.  Can that replace the slogan of "Gritty"?

Wasn't Valpo up 12-3 to start this game?  I didn't see the first half, but skimmed the pbp on the stat cast.  I think a lot of the fall off happened because JFL was on the bench for the final 12 minutes of the first half.

I only got to watch the last 14 minutes, but that was definitely the right 14 minutes to watch.  That part, at least, was more indicative of the kind of game Valpo wants to play.  Any win on the road with this bunch is a good one.

Siiiigh.  Frustrating to say the least.  Apart from another abysmal start...Everything that Valpo hopes to do and be was on display at Central Michigan...everything they don't want to have happen in game style happened tonight.  Didn't get out in transition at all.  Freeman was human.  Robinson (often the 2nd option now) goes down early.  Sackey is not only an offense non factor, he's actually starting to make things worse when he's on the court.  When this stuff happens, you are simply going to lose with this team.

If Robinson misses extended time, this could really become another hard season to watch.  Not that it's hopeless.  Charlotte has shown they can win against almost anyone at home...but still...

This was another "show me" game for this team.  I think they have responded well when that chemistry and good vibes mantra has been put to the test.  Everything Valpo wants to do worked in this game except for the first 4 minutes or so.  I fully expect other low points in the season with this young crew and their style of play, but for today...good vibes all around.

Not good.  We know the team can go on runs and make comebacks...we'll see if they turn it around.

Well...they did.  It's hard to believe that I'm saying they blew this game...but that's what I'm saying.

Trinity really hit some nice mid range shots, they were game but just didn't have the horses.  Valpo did what they needed to do, not thrilled with some of the defense though.  Good performances from Clay, Krikke, Lorange,...and Morrill too!  5-3 takes the cake for November.  Happy Thanksgiving to all!

My heart says go for 5-1, I voted 4-2.  Many winnable games, but no real cupcakes minus, perhaps HPU (We lost last year, so I hesitate to give them that designation).  Figuring on at least one let down, hoping the confidence can grow and they can sting some wins together.  9-5 at the end of December would be acceptable without Zeke.

As much as it sucks to be on the losing end of this one, I am encouraged by the effort and performance of the team after yesterday.

This could be a trap game for Cincy.  After all they've been through to get the frantic comeback win on Friday and going to OT and losing to BGSU in the night cap last night, they might be low on energy or overlooking a Valpo team that got stomped last night...OR...they may be playing angry and kick the snot out of a possibly down Valpo squad.  We will see how good the team chemistry is when it's put to the test in adversity here.

Not much to really lose for us here...most everyone would understand a loss (at least a competitive one) and a win would get the team and fans fired up heading into a winnable stretch of games.

Ugh, just got home...guess I'm watching football tonight.  Looks like from the comments and the box score that Nevada hit their 3's and Valpo never got into their game...well pretty much every vulnerable side of our game reared it's ugly head it seems!  Maybe this is an instance where it's good that they play again tomorrow. No chance to dwell.  New day, new game!
#49
I mean...it's not that I'm not confident in this team...but I'd be VERY happy if they take 1 of the next 2.  Nevada and Cincy present challenges obviously, and BG looked good last night and is picked to win the other side of the MAC.

Nevada is fitting a lot of new pieces together.  If Valpo's aggression turns them over and gets them off kilter, results could be good.  They seem to rely on the 3 ball, which Valpo has a habit of leaving open...if they hit at a high rate, results are likely not so good.

Anyone else a little nervous that our players getting the most minutes at the 5 combined for 2 rebounds today?  For those that watched the game (I listened) what can you share with us regarding performance in the PF/C positions in the game?

Strange game without really having a 5 often with Mileek in foul trouble.  Seemed like defense and rebounding by committee.  Their 5 also had outside range that frequently brought our big out from under the basket.  Overall the hustle was there and doesn't leave me feeling overly concerned.

Lets face it, several fans on this board would complain about a 26 to 6 free throw disparity as well.  Sometimes that means something and sometimes it doesn't  Anybody see the feed to see if there is anything to it?  Hard to tell on the radio.  I do know we have some good shot fakers like Robinson who are really good at drawing contact.

I noticed the disparity, but it felt like style of play was a factor.  They took a lot of jump shots and fadeaways while Valpo was running and turning them over putting GCU in spots to foul.  Also felt like GCU either scored or turned the ball over pretty much every time.
