First game...Buffalo 75 Quinnipac 68. Buffalo wins on the road.  These guys beat a less than inspired Milwaukee team at home by 15 in the Bracket Buster.  A decent team, they were simply overmatched in the MAC East by Kent and Akron.

I'd love to get a chance to play Ohio again and I'm sure the players would feel the same way.

It might happen.

from the cit schedule/results page

"Ideally teams can be kept within their geographic region to cut down on travel."

The CIT web site posted last night that the VU-Iona winner has a bye in the next round.
Oral Roberts and Western Michigan are also a factor, would be nice to face old ORU again, wouldn't it?

I hope tonight's crowd is a good one.  If it is not, however, keep in mind that last night, at least according to the Des Moines Register, Creighton drew around 4,000 in the 17,000-seat Qwest Center.  Northern Iowa drew just over 3,000 in its 7,000 seat gym.  And Evansville drew a tad over 1,200 fans for its game.

Cleveland State had ~1700 paid, and one writer claimed ~2500 in attendance, for their NIT victory.

When I picked up my tickets yesterday morning, I was told that ticket sales were pretty slow.  I'm going to guess a 1st round HL tournament game sized crowd - 1500 to 1800.

With Marshall losing, the winner of our game will have the top remaining RPI.  Should help the winning team to potentially get a bye.

It was mentioned on other threads, if maybe not on this one - the CIT site already says the winner of Valpo vs. Iona will get a bye.

Didn't see that.  Thanks.
