The Boomers beat Finland today or yesterday (or maybe it was tomorrow). Anyway, Basketball Australia Facebook has pictures up and an interview with Assistant Coach and former NBA Champion with da Bulls Luc Longley. Couple shots of Rowdy and I think one of Huff on D. Couldn't find any stats on the interwebs yet.
Nice story about Ryan!

that's great--not surprising, but awesome that they gave him a chance like that. he's clutch, and always has been.
...can anyone figure out what language that headline is in, though?!?

It's that language that is one of the Romance languages that originated in the country of Australia. It was discovered among the people who lived in the area of the gibber plains. The land is marked with very low open shrubland and the people tend to be short stocky people. The language is called gibberish.
Speaking of Australia, I recently found out that the University of Notre Dame sold their Victory March song, "Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame" to the Sydney Swans of the AFL, Australian (Rules) Football League. The music is the same and here are the lyrics.
Cheer, cheer the red and the white,
Honour the name by day and by night,
Lift that noble banner high,
Shake down the thunder from the sky
Whether the odds be great or small,
Swans will go in and win overall
While her loyal sons are marching
Onwards to victory!
The Swans have had this club song since 1961.
My favorite version was written by MAD around the same time. Can't find it online now though. Here goes:
Pray, pray for old Pivnick Tech
We're gonna get it right in the neck
Send a sound of Taps on high
As our whole team lays down to die!
What though the odds may be great or small
Old Pivnick Tech will fumble the ball
While her undergrads get sick and
Transfer to USC!
