Was that the two gentlemen in the blue jackets I saw sitting up there with their stacks of papers?  I thought they might have been scouts when I first saw them walk in.  I didn't have my boys with me so there was no reason to get up and walk a couple laps to get a closer look.
yeah they had monitors and head sets....and we also got super awesome replay of that intentional foul

Quote from: agibson on February 03, 2012, 07:53:32 PMThanks!  The quality's at least as good as the HLN feed. I didn't realize Fox Sports Detroit was broadcasting the game.  I wonder how big of a crew they had there?  Different video feed; multiple cameras (their own cameras, or a remix of Valpo's?).  Better graphics than HLN.  Different play-by-play or voice-over, clearly.

Yes they had their own cameras and crew.  Their announcers were behind the chair back seats.  HLN usually just uses Todd Icow.  They had 2 cameras up there and had 2 cameras on the floor.  I don't think HLN had floor cameras because of it.

Valpo builds a nice lead and then lets it slip toward end of half.  2nd half Wright State with a 10 point lead and Valpo wins with last second play.

Once again the coaching loses the game for Detroit.

If Lowe woulda played the whole game, we woulda been blown out.  McCallum made horrible adjustments at half time and made NONE during the second half when the zone shut them down.

Thank goodness he has Jr or he'd already be gone

McCallum is the least effective coach in the entire Horizon League.  IMO Only reason he won't get fired is his son.  No team has had such "talent" on paper, every year, and failed to produce even the most modest of successful seasons.

At best, McCallum employs an "NBA spread" styled offense.  In reality its street ball.  In order to run an NBA Spread, you need NBA players.  I have never witnessed a solid defensive game under McCallum.

Yeah, I don't like him....and Indiana University doesn't exactly have him on the Christmas card list.

That being said, playground ball can sometimes be tough to face.  In the end, solid defense and superior coaching/strategy wins 82-74 Valpo.

Quote from: sectionee on December 31, 2011, 10:45:24 PMany word on where Kurth was tonight?  Not on the bench, not in street clothes?
I just looked back and he didn't play against Milwaukee.  I don't remember if he was on the bench or not.  Kinda sad it took us this long to notice something is up with him

Valpo Basketball / Tommy Kurth

I am curious if anyone else noticed that Tommy wasn't dressed with the team.  He wasn't in warm ups or streets either (that I noticed).  I know Richie was sick, but anyone know what the deal with Kurth is?
