Now is the time to put your money where your complaints have been. The Helges are MATCHING every donation 1 for 1 and 2 for 1 on contributions over $1000. Designate it for Men's basketball or whatever. If you want, limit to only being spent on ARC improvements. Pretty sure you can do that. The Helges have designated $2 million for these matches!!!
Exactly what i said on Monday. Time to stop bitching. Time to put the money where the mouth is. DO SOMETHING.

But I'm reserving any more significant contributions for more pointed and distinct fundraisers for the VUMBB facilities. Not that I make a big difference, but I'm dang tired of the broad strokes approach. It's the same reason Americans have griped for years about taxation that gives them no direct community effect.
LET US SEE WHERE THE FRUITS FROM OUR LABOR GOES.
It's not a big request, truth be told I think it's because VU doesn't have concrete plans for the future of their MBB facilities. It's rather shameful if you ask me. Being open and honest with the alumni breeds helpfulness OR complete disinterest. Either way you can take a direct action for or against or for.
IF we get an MVC invite, I have to imagine an enterprising beat reporter or two will ask the question at the presser as to what was discussed in regards to facilities.

Remember to email MLB and MH and tell them exactly that. The more they hear from alums and friends on this issue the more likely they are to act on it.

Too bad this did not happen in conjunction with us hopefully getting the MVC invite. It would have been interesting to see if the announcement might have spurred increased participation.
If we receive and accept a bid, there is no reason why, in conjunction with the acceptance, it can't become the springboard for a specific ARC upgrade campaign that signals (and commemorates) a new era in Valpo basketball.
