Title: GCU vs Gambling in Phoenix
Post by: bbtds on November 26, 2020, 07:57:17 AM
Just watched the GCU vs Grambling MBB game from GCU Arena on ESPN 3 which was played late last night (Wednesday).

One criticism that I think all people wearing masks must pay attention to but especially Bryce Drew and the GCU coaching staff: you must also cover your nose when wearing a mask. It's just as important as wearing the mask over your mouth. For a team that has lost time due to Covid spread this seems vitally important!

Otherwise it was a nice opening win over an opponent that were clearly not near Grand Canyon in talent level. Final score 69-53 Lopes.

The broadcasters were not familiar at all with the practice of a post game prayer in the Drew tradition. It seemed to move them and is something they were inspired by.

GCU is apparently better at replacing games than we are...their next game was cancelled and they picked up Benedictine-Mesa despite that they had allowed their out of state players leave to Thanksgiving.
