Very big misread of his value. If Jarnigan / Turner could not find a scholarship in portal Nimz will not.
Wish best for kid , have to wonder what advice he's taking.
Deuce Larose who had a much better Valpo career than Nimz didn't record a stat at ETSU

So who is the next man up? One of the freshman?
There is no way that he receives a scholarship at a level above his current situation. Maybe he gets a D-2 offer? Everyone saw what Navarro was able to do, and thinks that they can do the same.
Navarro was all-conference on a winning team. Unless your that you should probably stay put

Jeffrey Jackson was playing towards the end of the year and has eligibility.
With Nimz....he had about 5 quarters of good play last season. He may not feel the offense fits him and he may go anywhere he feels does.
As of now 5 QBs on roster
Berry probably has most talent but had an extremely rough season last year. Jackson was second string towards end of year.
I think Lawson and Kaplan play if they are on roster. Appel complete wildcard but the film is nice.
Ben probably should have been full time starter last season. He battled. Can't hate a kid for grad xfering, just think with his football talent level Valpo is best situation
Have to also wonder about state of offensive staff. If Limbach/James are staying, Nimz may not feel he's a fit for the offense. May be fishing for that more than scholarship $$.
In addition, I'm not very impressed with QB DEVELOPMENT over past 3 seasons. QBs haven't gotten much better than when they arrive. Nimz may be seeking a change that way as well.
NWIGuy could not agree more, was dysfunction this season with Berry , think there were 5 combos of QBs on the 2 Deep.
Limbach/James are still relatively young at their position. 5 of the commits so far are on offense, appear that staff will stay in tact
The loss of Nimz is not critical, he can be replaced by someone better. This big issue is replacing the running game.
OL improvement looms even larger, IMHO. Having the best overall athlete in the conference in the Valpo backfield masked a number of issues with the OL. In 2022, this group will no longer be young and inexperienced. Having to keep both TEs in and/or both backs in during pass pro had a significant impact and the kinds of pass concepts that could included in the offensive game plan week to week. We were RARELY able to get in a "Heavy" set and convert on short yardage. A more balanced attack will actually create better run opportunities, even if the back is a slight step down in talent from Washington.
OL was quite bad last year. It shows on Nimz highlight tape.
That being said 4/5 linemen all had played under 10 games going into last season and this was the 3rd OL coach in as many seasons under Fox.
Hopefully Bustle stays, we return all 5 (again). Not sure which of the young running backs are still on the roster.
