QuotePREDICTION: DePaul 74, Butler 68
The case for a Butler victory is simple: they slow the tempo down and they clamp down on Freeman-Liberty enabling them to get a win that could put their season on track. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs they lack the overall defensive intensity of the only team that previously vanquished the Blue Demons, Loyola of Chicago. While Thompson could slow down Freeman-Liberty, stopping the other DePaul weapons could be more than the rest of the Bulldogs can handle. The Butler front court was exposed in their most recent loss to top five Purdue, and while no one is confusing Johnson and Ongenda with Trevion Williams and Zach Edey, they have played well enough in the paint to complement Freeman-Liberty.
When the sun rises in Chicago on Thursday, DePaul will either have its first Big East win and be playing for a ranking on New Year's Day versus Providence, or they'll be in the all too common position of being 0-1 and starring down more Blue Demon disappointment.

They are for real.
Watch out if they ever become cohesive.

UCF upsets Michigan. A very good team that shot the lights out. Fun to watch.
Good to see DePaul playing better after decad3s of atrocious coaching and leadership.
From Wednesday: Butler 63 DePaul 59.
Agree but I would add Memphis at Witchita St.

USC and Zona was cancelled due to COVID. Troy has been out for awhile and will be rusty when they return. Bummer.

That really sucks. I was looking forward to watching that game. I've seen AZ and they are very good. Haven't had a chance to watch USC. At least they postponed the game, not cancelled it so we will get to watch it one day.

The only game tonight worth watching:
Arizona vs UCLA 10pm CST ESPN
Arizona is damn good. A beast. But UCLA has the same team they had last year and we all know what happened at the dance.
https://twitter.com/coopertwatson/status/1485960654318100488
UCLA shot the lights out and looked pretty darn good.
Completely took Arizona out of their game with their defense and AZ looked pretty darn bad.
UCLA likely to make noise at the dance if they play like they did last night. Might even win it all. I was impressed.
There are some really good teams across the board this year unlike what I've seen in years past. It's anyone's ball game.

Indeed! Agbaji's shot to put it into the second OT is as pure of a shot as you will ever see. And there is no better atmosphere in college sports than Allen Fieldhouse for a big game. Best student section in the country.
Based on PomPom rankings, 21 USC gets an opportunity to seek revenge against 91 Stanford tonight.
The big game against Zona on Feb 5. is coming up...
USC gets sweated by the Trees, who are looking really good as a possible NCAA dark horse. Stanford is well coached.
If USC wants national recognition, they need to defeated the Stanfords before they are at the same level as Arizona and UCLA.
The Pac12 is pretty damn tough this year...
