Upon reading Paul Orens Valpo state of the union Robert was quoted saying he would return if the draft does no go his way.
Think had he had his '21 spring season in the fall that year he could have landed an NFL deal but timing was off due to covid.
This would be year 7 for Robert and certainly raise the ceiling of this year's roster

And, and its a big AND, the NCAA grants him an additional year of eligibility
Wow that would be massive if that's possible. I wasn't even under the impression that another year was possible.
Yeah, how is that even possible? I guess that he is just viewed as a potential 6th year, since everyone received 1 free year.
At least it is not year 7, as referring to Bluto his experience would be down the drain and he may join the Peace Corps.
VU72 would be correct the NCAA would have to grant a 7th year which would essentially have to prove he took a year away for what they deem is hardship
2016: Played at Charlotte
2017: ?
2018: ?
2019: Played at Old Dominion
2020 (Spring '21): Valpo
2021: Valpo
2017 or 2018 had to have been a redshirt year granted already by the NCAA. I don't see he was actually on a roster. Add the year in for Covid and he needs to have either 17 or 18 qualify as a hardship
