Title: A bad weekend for Valpo sports:
Post by: setshot on November 27, 2011, 08:22:16 AM
VU loses 80-47 in Mbb,we lose two in Wbb (Co 60 -VU32,MT.State 71 - VU 55) get shutout in Volleyball (0-3 to W. Michigan) and we are still ranked # 246 in football. Phew. It maybe that we are over our heads in playing D1 sports. Anyhow, something needs to be done to turn our sports programs around (I'm sure seventy poo would agree). Should we go D3,drop football, fire the AD,get new coaches or what?

I, for one, would like to volunteer setshot as our new head coach for the men's basketball team. Obviously Bryce isn't up to the challenge, losing to the #3 team in the country.

Speaking of Sagarins, with us being ranked #88, I can only imagine the pressure to drop D1 sports at places like Notre Dame, Penn State, Auburn, Wake Forest, Arizona State, Texas Tech, Princton or UCLA, to name a few--all ranked lower than crummy old Valpo!!

Why would a university move to D3, drop one of the sports, fire the AD or fire the coaches because of a bad weekend? That is your own view that Valpo is in over it's head in D1 sports not the majority of the board.
