Title: Tickets.... Butler game
Post by: Smj on January 30, 2012, 08:12:41 PM
Anyone know of a resource for valpo tickets.    I am trying to meet up with my dad for the Butler game....   Checked valpo ticket office, stub hub, ticketmaster....    Looking for two tickets and I was told it is sold out.

Thanks
:'(

Maybe Butler has some tickets they would sell you?  Looks like they are all sold out according to the valpo ticket sale site.  Of course if you know a vu faculty member you might be able to finagle a way in.

Best advice, Smj, call the Valpo ticket office. They would know best if there are any available tickets.

I imagine they would release any that staff does not pick up once that time frame ends as well.

Per the VU ticket office:

Single game tickets for this match-up go on sale to the public this Monday, Feb. 6.

You might ask on the Butler board.  I would guess they have some fair weather fans who bought tickets earlier in the season and are experiencing buyers remorse by now.

The Valpo athletic website currently shows 20 seats available in the lower section--but none together, all singles.  These are for the Wright state/Butler combo deal at $28-$55 per seat, still cheaper than Butler's place for a single game.

There are plenty of seats in AA and BB (upper level) but the best bet might be the remaining 2 seats inn CC (center court, 9 rows up in the upper level).  I presume those would be $28 per seat but you do have the other game ticket.

There looks like a block of seats available in AA and don't know if they are currently held for someone, but appear to be available.

Just hope the scoreboard looks similar to this after the game:

amen to that. and preferably our entire game resembles that game, as compared to the way we played for 2/3 of the game last night.

Looks like only about 27 left downstairs, though three together in one section.  A couple of hundred upstairs, plus what they're reserving for students and staff (which will hopefully fill up).

Tickets were available this morning for students, faculty, and staff.  I showed up at the ARC at about 10:05 AM this morning (ticket office opened at 10:00 AM).  There were maybe 10 people ahead of me in line, for two agents.  A steady trickle coming in behind me.  Mark LaBarbera was watching over events - was talking with the university counsel (I think that's who it was) about some ultra-reserve seating; maybe the bleachers on the concession side?

Looks like this hasn't changed much.  Still three together downstairs, etc.  Maybe it won't change, until we get close to game time. (And especially if e.g. Valpo needs the game to clinch.)

Just checked and found that there are just 10 seats still available in the lower deck.  6 chairbacks and 4 reserved.  Still a few hundred up on top.
