What I wonder is what is going to happen with all of the transfers over the last few years? Not just for Valpo, but for all teams. Transfers out can't be good for the formula.
These schools, especially UCONN, should be ashamed. All schools have known this was coming, what the criteria was, and what the consequences would be. Schools should be responsible that all students are following a path to graduation, especially those students that are getting a free ride. If a kid really isn't college material, either give them the tools and help needed to catch up, or don't admit them into the university.
UCONN knew this was coming and still did very little, if you discount rationalization, to correct the situation. To add to the woes, and what COVUFAN listed, is the "one (or two) and done" phenomenon. Kids come in and barely squeak by to get to the point where they can jump to the pros. Out here (New England) and outside of Connecticut, UCONN is known for its arrogance. Could be that they thought they were immune from this.

must be a certain mindset required to play in the big east... i'm lookin at you, notre lame! though other schools in the conference give off that vibe as well (cuse, l'ville, and to a lesser extent cincy, marquette).
