Six seniors and five freshmen? Oops :o
The Post-Trib clearly has all of their fact-checkers working on election-year stuff...
How about John Thompson and sons John Thompson III and Ronny Thompson.
Long time Crusader fans will remember another highly successful family trio, the Bennetts - father Dick, son Tony, and daughter Kathi. Dick coached UWGB from '85-'95, then went on to coach at Wisc. and Wash. St. Like Bryce, Tony played for his dad at GB. He was 2-time Mid Con POY; Bryce was POY 3 times. Both went on to play in the NBA. Also like Bryce, he was an asst. under his Dad (Wash. St.) and became head coach when his Dad retired in 2006. Tony is now head coach at Virginia. Kathi is currently head coach at N. Illinois. She was also head coach at Evansville and Indiana.
What I got out of the Mutka article was that what makes the Drews unique is that all three coached at the same D-I school. Not mentioned was, that with Bryce's 2011-12 season, each Drew has had at least one regular season championship at the same school as well. But it's fun to also speculate about other coaching families.
Most importantly re: the Bennetts----they created the Pack-Line defense which is being used more and more widely across high school and college hoops....see Virginia for a recent example....great bball family, the Bennetts
