Good confidence win for these guys, but I disagree with David81 - for a Div. 1 level this team needs much more overall talent and it will take time. A lot of growing pains ahead, but I like the resiliency of these guys.

Again, this team is very low on overall talent. We need patience, not at the same of patience we gave Lottich or Carlson, but enough to turn it around.

As expected, it will be a long season and Valpo needs lots and lots of talent. It will be cool to see how this team grows and improves.

Ron Hunter was cool. Valpo wins by 12.

The Big 10 is consistently overrated. Purdue proves that.

14 - Valpo's offense is a direct reflection of the greatness of Brian Ferentz. It needs major revision.

I get it on Fox, and it's a tough job with limited funds. I just don't want to see Small pull a Lottich extension which was boneheaded.

If Valpo invested more in football, would male enrollment increase or with Valpo providing less tuition discount, seeing that the school is committing to making a quality football program?

62 - they are showing signs of life which is good, but hopefully Valpo will learn from past mistakes and  hesitate from giving Fox a contract extension. The results have not justified that.

They learned to win and that is a step in the right direction. Yes, two terrible teams, but this is a step in the right direction.

With a matchup like that, College Game Day should be at Valpo instead of an insignificant LSU-Alabama rivalry game.

Eugene Parker needs to be properly honored at Valpo. It is an outrage that this had not been. A great person and leader. He was a pioneer in American minority athletics and did more for sport than Jon Steinbrecher, who is in the Hall of Fame, ever did.

As a fan base should Valpo be satisfied with this? The commitment to sub mediocrity has to stop.

I understand, but a 1-7 record sucks. Valpo shouldn't be satisfied with this.
