What struck me was just How READY the crowd was to go nuts.  My husband said: The crowd is ready to just power this team through, the team just needs to give them the catalyst.  When Carter finally hit the 3 for the lead it was just non-stop from then on and you could see both the overwhelmed faces of the Green Bay Players and the energy coursing through the Valpo Team

Actually, at the end of this recruitment the average chapter size was 72.  They will be smaller next year with graduating seniors but most will be in the low sixties.  They definitely will have enough women to fill the houses and most organizations will have a system set up to make sure that happens.

In regards to house mom's, all I've heard is that there will be one RLC for the whole complex but maybe they're planning for the future?

I believe Duffy's has dart boards but they, along with Sementos, Northsides and maybe Martinis(?) are still smoking.

I'm unsure if Franklin House still has their dart boards but I believe they are non-smoking.

I think Semento's off of 30 might have pool tables. Not sure about any of the other bars.

The following link is something I found on the University page.

Not quite up-to-date, looks like it's probably done at the beginning of each year

Does the game looks as rough in person as it does from my couch? Can't blame Drew for yelling, I'm worried someone's going to get hurt out there.

While it is true that all the women living in Scheele won't transfer into the houses it will still alleviate any future housing crunches. They may currently have enough room to move everyone around. But, we do not know what the incoming freshman class will be and if they are closer to the class of two years ago, where the university had to use overfill strategies, you could very quickly run into a space issue before an old dorm could be razed and a new dorm could be built.

I think it might also be less about the cost and more about the timeline.  You would have to tear scheele down and start over which could put all of those beds off line for probably closer to 2 years.  If you renovate you could limit that to one year.  The biggest crunch the university seems to be in now is space. They need most of the beds they have available so they either need to build a new dorm (like beacon)or find a way to move people around to free up a dorm to renovate. The sorority housing offers an opportunity to empty a current dorm without losing revenue(and probably increasing it as I'm sure living in the houses will cost more) and still giving time to fix it up for the next year.

There will be one long building but there will be nothing shared other than entrances. So the building will be connected but have three sections that each house two orgs.  So two groups will enter in one part, two more another etc.  There is no shared common space but each group will have their own kitchen and chapter room, plus a smaller study area.  The rooms vary from singles to quads and will have basement space as well (this part may be shared through the whole facility).

I believe it was just cheaper in regards to installation to build them adjacent rather than building 3 separate structures.

Ground breaking wouldn't happen until March at the earliest so Basketball Season would be open. From what I understand part of the construction will include lighting and finishing the path. It was also my understanding the sorority women would park in the parking structure on a regular basis.

I would think the walk from the parking structure to the ark will be no different than the walk from the parking lot by the union and mueller hall.

The sorority houses are currently planned to be standalone town homes/duplexes that will house two groups.  The groups will share and entrance but will not have access to each others side or elevator. They will house approximately 25 women and will have space for chapter meetings, storage and studying as well as a kitchen. I'm not sure about final design plans but it seems these things have been generally agreed upon and relayed to alumnea.

It's a MUCH better situation they have now, as women actively choose not to rush due to current housing in scheele hall.
