It wasn't pretty, but I'm glad to see the team get two wins. I wasn't able to watch on Saturday, but I'm hoping that this can be a good starting point for making some improvement and building for next season.

Well, it's a win, right? I'm a little disappointed at how poorly Valpo came out for the second half. Unfortunately, I'm just not sure that this team will be able to avoid the first day of Arch Madness. Hope I'm wrong!

What exactly is supposed to be the strength of this team? They look lost on the perimeter on both sides. This isn't a good three-point shooting team. Kpeogel's attempt at the end of the half was an accurate summary of what we saw in the first 20 minutes. Hopefully Lottich figures it out...

It would be great to get a road win to get back to .500. Should be a good one!

Hopefully this is much easier than last year's game when JFL had to will our team back to victory after an awful start. Need this one tonight. Hail Crusaders!

Good showing by the team tonight! I liked seeing Ognacevic knock some shots down and the team playing aggressive on offense. This may be something to build on. While Purdue certainly didn't play their best, that was still a great effort.

Purdue's bigs don't move well. McMillan is going to get some three-point looks like he did against Vanderbilt. Besides that, I don't see much else positive here...

While the jump in competition from the Horizon to Valley has been significant, I do wonder about some of the recruiting decisions. Lots of reliance on transfers...

Tonagel is an excellent coach. He recruited the best player in the NAIA (Kyle Mangas from Warsaw) and puts tons of talent around him. I don't know how the NAIA to D1 jump would be, however. That's a massive step up.

Absolutely moving to the MVC was the right move. It's certainly a huge jump in competition, but the Horizon League was limited in what it could do for VU. With the MVC, television money is much better and the school gets more exposure. Exposure is especially significant given the decline in enrollment at VU.

The lack of offensive structure is concerning. They could get away with it because Javon Freeman-Liberty was so good at penetrating and finding open shooters, but this team has nothing on offense. When is the last time Lottich called a set play with a clear end goal? I'm not sure this team shoots well enough to rely on constant three-point attempts. Frustrating!
