After San Diego's big win over Butler, I expect they(SD) will be over confident about flying into Valpo and facing the mighty Crusaders. So, I predict that SD will only beat Valpo by 4 touchdowns. SHIELDS UP! 

Have not heard much about  Valpo's Bach Institute,is it still in existence?I just transferred my "Choice Dollars" from Thrivent to Valpo. I trust many of you have done the same thing.GO VALPO!

Mercer will have a long trip home from San Diego and that trip should play to Valpo's advantage. Mercer's loaded with kids from football rich Georgia,but most had never left the state until the SD game.Still,though wide eyed and travel weary I'll pick Mercer by 30+ points.  BOOK IT!

According to the latest Sagarin ratings it will be #248 Valpo against #249 Campbell. With the home field advantage the winner should be Valpo. Don't bet on it. I'll take Campbell and hopefully a 0-11 season. Carlson,good bye!

Pay Scale has ranked most of the USA's college and Universties on the basis of average starting salaries for recent college grads and then mid-career earing levels. Valpo ranks #395. Average starting salary for VU grads is $49,500. Mid-career earnings are $76,200. Really bad. Check out the info. on Pay Scale. Makes you wonder...why Valpo?

We were tied for fourth last year along with Xavier. Bradley was ranked fifth. Under the Harre Admin. we were ranked #1 for a few years. Then the slide began.

VALPO has slipped to SIXTH place in the 2014 MW Regional rankings. WHY?

We all know that our football team is an embarssement,now we have slippage in our academics. OMG!

Wittenberg,a D111 school is playing at Butler this weekend. A pre-season top 10 pick, the tigers should maul the bulldogs. Sure hope so. One of my kids is a Witt grad (class of '83) so there is much family interest in the game. GO TIGERS!

Agree! Too bad it wasn't done last year. Of note,Sagarin has VU listed at 246. More positive is the fact that our beloved Clemson Tigers are ranked 4/5 by AP and USA TODAY. USC is just behind at 6/6. GO COCKS!

Hell, Pitino won a national championship at KY. with a team made up of several freshmen players. So with VU's talented freshmen class,its overall height and returning veterans we should at least win the Horizon. If we don't,change coaches.

The NYT article on Sunday (08-25) states that USC ALL-American defensive end Jadevem Clowney benches 345 lbs. So don't tell me that some Valpo dufuss presses more than that. NO WAY!

Fortunately for the Valpo alums in this area,ESPN is televising the game between the USC Gamecocks and the UNC Tarheels on Thursday night. That,in addition to being a good game,will take our minds off the UND-Valpo game. However I am sure we will see scores that are on the trailors that flash across the screen.We hope we won't be too embarrassed as I am sure Valpo will lose by 40+ points. On the positive side the USC-UNC game starts at 6pm,whereas UND-VU starts at appx. 8:00 pm. So, we won't see the final score of the debacle. GO COCKS!
