Great for Michigan, because we'll keep LaVell Blanchard and get Trevon Bluiett too.

Thoughts on whether this will make it easier or harder for them to schedule VU in the future?

I mean, Miller hasn't lost a bunch in a row to Valpo yet, so...

He had just rejoined the staff for this coming season after spending time at Ohio State under Thad Matta. Miller played at Butler when Barry Collier was the Butler head coach. He spent one year under Brad Stevens at Butler as an assistant coach in 2007-08 before going back to Ohio State as an assistant coach. Before his one year at Butler he had been the video coordinator and director of basketball operations at Ohio State under Matta. Last season he spent one year under John Groce at Illinois before deciding to go back to Butler, where he was lined up to be an assistant under Stevens until the current opportunity came along when Stevens took the Celtic's job.

Brandon Miller is a "Butler Way"guy through and through. He graduated from Butler in 2003, which makes him 2 years younger than Stevens, and 34 years old.

It's interesting that Brandon Miller had a great background for becoming the Butler head coach. He had worked mostly with coaches that had Butler experience. One thing I noticed in all this is that Miller did not always change jobs for advancement but sometimes he just changed to have a change. It is evident to me that Miller did not want to stay in one place. It seems Miller was probably a bad hire from the beginning. But in this situation he should be helped with his medical issues and then when the situation changes be graded on his coaching.
