I think the first half was more jitters. Let us not forget 2 seasons ago, they struggled with Hillsdale and squeaked out a win by 2 points yet went on to win the (regular season) HL title. These games are more for learning and seeing how guys fit in and what combinations seem to work. I expect to see a much more consistent game next week after a week of practice with looking at gametime material. Will be interesting to see if Vashil starts over Moussa and whether or not Bobby is healthy.

Completely forgot that game existed.

How quickly we forget.  If my memory serves me right we have had close calls and even a loss or two at the beginning of big seasons.

This is my first post on the forum that I have been reading for years, so sorry to be a wallflower, but here we go...

Check out Hillsdale Exhibition Schedule. This is not a joke of a team if 3 D1 schools put them on their schedule including Indiana. It will be interesting to see how they do in these upcoming games.

Since it is my first post I can't put a link, but here are their next two exhibition games.

Toledo - Nov. 3
Indiana - Nov. 4

Let's take a reminder trip to a certain season about 15 years ago...

Game #1... Bethel College 85, VU 75 in the ARC
Game #33..Rhode Island 74, VU 68... in St. Louis in the Sweet 16...and we had 8 other losses, and 23 wins, in between.

That same year, we lost two other games at home to Purdue by 17 and to Youngstown State by 3...

Interesting tidbit from Commissioner on the Detroit board:

Toledo 85, Hillsdale 84 (OT). The Titans play Toledo twice this year, so there is a little extra interest in what coach Tod Kowalczyk has down I-75. Plus, Hillsdale gave Valpo a battle in last weekend's exhibition game, so here's a chance for comparison. And if I were a Valpo fan, I'd be encouraged, because Hillsdale showed it is a darn good team. Toledo, picked to win the MAC West, struggled mightily against the Chargers, and finally won it on a runner in the lane with 3 seconds to play in OT.
