The statistical comparison between Broekhoff and Joe Ingles in that article  is incredible. Broekhoff's numbers blow Ingles's out of the water. This makes me very optimistic about Ryan's chances to make the league. I hope he makes it.

Another positive article comparing Joe to Ryan.  This week he visits 3 NBA teams including Milwaukee.

Sure looks promising.  BTW, don't ya like the way Brits and Aussies write?

Unfortunately for McDermott there's this thing called defense that needs to be factored in when evaluating players. Broekhoff can play it McDermott can't. Broekhoff is also a better and more willing passer. Broekhoff is a much better fit for the modern NBA than McDermott. Broekhoff will be fine.

And I vote Rowdie to the Bucks. MKE needs him. Actually, I just want to see him play and the 90 minute drive is worth it.

Nickname Rowdie, where is it from/referencing?

McDermott just got 3 yrs, $22 mil.

Edit: Ersan Illyasova back to the Bucks, so Broekhoff seems unlikely there :(

Early FA developments not good for Broekhoff.

He'll be cheap so I can see a team with cap trouble signing him to fill a shooting void.

VUGrad1314

I always thought he'd fit better on a contender anyway. Maybe some team we haven't heard connected to him yet will sign him.

The only contender is Golden State, and he's not going there...

Never say never. I actually think he'd be a great fit for their scheme.

Golden State can use a shooter.

I'm glad Rowdy was in the states working out for NBA teams, because he missed out on a pretty bad brawl between the Australian and Filipino national teams:

Warriors couldn't land Rowdy so they settled for Boogie.  ;)

There's a void in CLE now, so Rowdy could step in there.

I am rooting for him - I really believe he can make it to NBA

I know that the NBA is the holy grail for basketball players. Fact of life.

But NBA basketball, IMO, is a bastardized version of pure basketball as it was originally conceived. For some reason, I believe the rest of the world still stays true(er) to the original game. If Rowdie doesn't get the NBA offer we all hope he will, he will still play on a large stage that will present his great talents. And he may benefit more emotionally, psychologically and financially from being a major player  in a Euro league than being a NBA role player.

Whatever, I just want the best for this kid.
