I saw the recent add for male practice players, is this new or have they always had some? I know its not uncommon, especially at larger schools to have a male scrimmage team as part of a women's program.

This has long been a practice at Valparaiso. I wrote about this for the NWI Times in 2006. I know at least two former women's players who eventually married men's practice players.
