Indiana State is our second and final MVC oppoenent. Played tough for a half against Purdue. Beat Eastern Illinois who relatively handled Murray State. Dual Threat Elijah Owens at QB will probably be a handful. Their defense is giving up 433 YPG
Guess is about 35-14 Sycamores
That's prolly a fair guess. 31-17 Trees
This one is getting ugly. 2 questions is the same camera guy we used working again. Are the announcers even there the play by play guy is wrong a lot.
Didn’t see it. Didn’t follow LiveStats. Just now looked at the box score well after the game was over.
For what it’s worth, in my recollection, I cannot remember a modern* season where Valpo played two MVFC teams and kept scores under 40 points allowed in both and actually scored against both. Granted neither Murray or ISU is a top MVFC contender, but in each case we're playing against 65 scolly athletes in the top FCS conference in the country. And in both cases, VU also played tough in the first half before being overwhelmed - and still scored in Q4.
IMHO, neither of these games were body bag blowout games. Ya think Waddle may be building something here?
* However, I was on the field in 1963 as a two-way starter as a soph when we beat ISU 19-14 at Brown Field and injured for the 48-40 home win against Ball State that same season. Fun facts: attendance at both games was 6,000+ and we actually had a pretty good marching band.
Sure thing 62! We still hold a 20-11 record against. ISU!
We are showing some really good things, starting with our QB who gets the offense and is making some pretty solid throws— though his release is too low!
Ill be at the Helmet game and expecting a win!
One last thought: were at the 1 yard line and we lineup helmet for helmet against a team who is bigger and stronger across said line. So what do we try? Straight ahead for -1. Not very imaginative.

Oh, and 62, those games which drew 6000 were before tv and radio and plays were made known via the telegraph!
Think we are fixing the turnover problem on offense and the big play problem on defense leading to by in large competitive football.
My biggest observation to date (and it could have been just the MVC difference in speed) is that our starting offense against starting defenses do not have a game breaker to get chunk yards.
That is not a bad thing in the PFL as Dayton and Drake made livings off 5 yard inside zones for decades.
Mistake free football and we should be in every PFL game through the second half
