With the first official practice of the season now in the books, it feels like the right time to kick off the 2026-27 Valparaiso Basketball thread. There are plenty of questions to answer and challenges to overcome, but there's also a lot to be excited about with this group. Let's get behind the Beacons this season, pack the ARC, and be the sixth man every step of the way. Here's to an exciting year of Valpo basketball. Go Beacons!
I had the chance to catch practice on Tuesday, and it was awesome to see how well this group is already meshing. The offseason is officially behind us, and all signs point to a team that's locked in and ready to get to work. A few quick observations: Bruno was back to full contact after an offseason knee issue, and Dylan Moles was lighting it up from beyond the arc. It's still early, but the energy, focus, and chemistry were hard to miss. Let the excitement begin. Go Beacons!
