I fully agree with the comments above - especially 78crusader's comment about him being a force multiplier. That is great leadership!
And I am sensing the same type of super powers that my favorite cartoons used to show!
Just kidding, I love the guy too and concur with the rave reviews. Though usually a cynic, I have posted high praise as well. Ha.
In the last couple of weeks, President Konkol has become very active on X / Twitter, posting every day with updates on what he is doing and meeting with. Just in the last week, he was at the Fall Theological Conference of the Saint Paul Area Synod, a Packers Game, Pines Village Retirement Community, Sigma Phi Epsilon house for dinner, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at VU for a bible study, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Phi Delta Theta "Phi Hop" philanthropy event, Concordia Theological Seminary, Grace Lutheran Church and School in River Forest.
Seems to be covering a lot of ground!
During the search process, I said that VU's ideal new president needed qualities of presence and charisma reminiscent of O.P. Kretzmann and the all-in energies of Mssrs. Brown & Kinsey. I had no idea that such a person existed. Until Rev. Konkol showed up.
