I like the answer that the success of this years team will be partially determined by if they stay together.  I'm kind've tired of being a "young" team every single year.  Recruiting good talent is only part of the equation of success...recruiting that talent to stay once it's here might be harder than I had thought it should be.

Why shouldn't he have a final say?  He's the boss.  I appreciate that they formed a committee and are at least on the surface saying they will take input/suggestions.

The team avoided Thursday...does that make the season a success in your opinion?

LOL, him and King were giving that guy the business.  The fan took it all in stride and the Bulls hooked him up with some better gear.  Too funny.

Perhaps he is more of a Robin then a Batman...nothing wrong with that as long you realize it and play within your capabilities.

It was great! Well done and thank you to everyone who was involved in making it happen!

Did Clay get hurt? I only saw the box score and he did about as I did in the game. At least he'll be fresh for the next one (assuming he's actually not hurt).

I do like the ideas that play off the region: Kernel, anything Lake Michigan related.

I don't hate the Shield or the DuneHawks...also someone suggested putting the Chapel or Victory Bell silhouette on the court, I'd 100% be for that addition as I think it would look great.

If he can defend then absolutely

No changes, Valpo by double digits

Gotta win ugly to avoid Thursday!
#38
Might want to defend that 3 point line a little better in the second half.
#39
Good first half. I was just hoping they'd keep it close and interesting.

The anthem before all athletic events has made the anthem less meaningful.

Maybe reach out and ask how to be put in the committee.

It was those damn Dominion machines they used to tally up the surveys.

What do we think VU needs to do to avoid Thursday?  Would winning 3/5 be enough?

I think both are silly. Haven't attacked anyone. I just want to be able to watch Valpo play in person again, doesn't matter what character is on the helmet/uniform/whatever.

I can't believe people are mad about a costumed character.  People calling those who were upset about the mascot snowflakes (or whatever synonym you like) and then turning around and acting like snowflakes themselves when a change happens.

I'm sure people will get worked up just to get worked up....I just hope they find something cooler then the Crusader mascot we had.
#47
The mascot was a pretty sorry looking Crusader anyways.

I'd be surprised if any of them came back.  I don't think any of them have NBA aspirations. Nick seems done, Mileek seems to have played his way out of the rotation (I admittedly haven't followed much).  Keep those young guys in house and keep getting better.

This about the 5th year in a row we've had people saying it's a young team and encouraged to wait just another year or two and then they will be contending for the top spot.

Just win - don't care how, don't care by how much...just win!

Heck of an effort. Fouls are almost always a problem with lesser skilled teams visit bigger foes, I was proud of how we hung in there and how some of the young guys played.

Edwards and Siggy found the right spot for themselves with how they've started the first few games. Hopefully that'll wake them up and they'll be back and better.
