I gotta say, Brown Field has to be one of the bottom feeders. The stands and press box is still the same as it was on the 80s.

I’ve been to Fordham. Trust me, it is flat out weird. A combo of a baseball field and a football field. Terrible for both.

Now is when I noticed that the video left off at my timestamp. Needless to say Valpo was in the bottom 4 which he had as the "revoke D1 Status Now tier".

123/125. His main point of emphasis for why he put Valpo so low is because "he thinks Valpo is lying about the 5k capacity" and he docked points for it

When I ran the video it stopped at around 50 stadiums. How do I get to the other 70 ish and hear/see the Valpo spot?

Based on what little I saw, I’d trade a bunch of the first 50 for the current Brown Field stadium. Don’t  get me wrong. The track, playing surface and visitors bleachers are more than adequate.  It’s the inadequate  home stands and high school sized press box that are miserable.

The ideal replacement, IMO, would include 1) a two level PB with  the lower level being either a President’s Box or multiple private suites (or a combination of both) with the upper level for  the necessary accommodations for press as well as coaches and video. 2) a minimum of 25 rows of seating that includes a reserved seating section at the 50 yard line with chair backs.   And… 3) below the stands, concessions, rest rooms  and two team rooms for half time to reduce the time currently wasted by going back to the ARC locker rooms.

62 - I disagree - every HS stadium press box in the Des Moines Metro league is better than the antique at Brown Field.

Brown field needs updated for sure. Even just larger more professional grandstands and press box. More professional fencing. Leave everything else the same.

Puts team in good PFL spot. Time to execute this would have been 8-9 years ago. Pipe dream atm

SC, did you not read my comment? I specifically stated the inadequacy of the Brown Field PB. And, yes, some HS press boxes are bigger and better than VU’s — that was my point. You weren’t disagreeing with me.  You were underscoring exactly what I stated.

In Texas, virtually all high school stadiums are better than 90% of college fields. It’s not an insult.

This is Allen high school’s stadium in suburban Dallas.
