Southern Illinois is not starting from scratch, but this is clearly a reshaped roster.
The Salukis were one of the better defensive teams in the MVC last season, but offensive inconsistency kept them from breaking into the league’s upper tier. Now, after losing Quel’Ron House and several key contributors, SIU will rely on a low-profile but productive transfer class to provide the scoring and shooting it lacked a year ago.
Can Scott Nagy’s group surprise the Valley, or are there too many unknowns heading into 2026-27?
