The wait for basketball season continues, so I figured I'd add a little more MVC content to help pass the time.
I've posted my 2026 MVC Preseason Power Rankings over at The Beacon Brief. Give it a read and let me know where you agree (or disagree) with the rankings. You'll also find plenty of other offseason MVC and Valpo basketball coverage.

As the offseason continues, The Beacon Brief has released its first ever newsletter featuring updates from all 11 Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball programs. Most non-conference schedules have now been announced, although a few schools are still finalizing their plans. Several programs continue to secure commitments for future seasons, while questions remain regarding the MVC eligibility of a number of 5-for-5 players.
