I know nothing about NIL. But is it possible to offer a PWO slot and divert NIL funds for the player to pay his own way (room, board, books, tuition, fees) + give him a little extra and not have it count count against the 13 full scholly limit?
My guess is one of those currently listed as scholarshipped will receive PWO status but, like everyone else I'm not fully engaged on the rules, timing, reporting, etc. of those are are scholarshipped.
Well, if RU passes on this guy cuz they sign a better big we are in the mix with 6 other MMs. In that case, do we have any advantages? Clearly, MVC membership could be a factor. And at 6-11, with what appears to be enough agility to get down the floor, he’d fit into a Powell up- tempo style. If he’s ready, he’d get lots of minutes.
So……. let’s see what Rutgers does.
Not to mention the 2 other pick ups form yesterday. Someone in the PWO slot must have been told that their scholarship was going to this guy if singed
I'll sing for him if he will elect to play at Valpo. Do Re Me Fa So La Te Do.
Meet All Wright! Headed to the University of Valparaiso!

So we just added Tyler Schmidt, a 5th year NAIA All-American. I presume he is a walk-on. That makes 9 guards though a couple have size to play the 3. Playing time is going to hard to find unless he decides to do line shifts!

He is a walk on however this has been known since mid to late April. Not new news.
I guess paperwork needed to be done to finalize his enrollment. All Wright was also only recently publicly announced by the school. I presume the same with him.
With the release of jersey numbers today it seems the roster has been finalized. One extra note, looks like 24 has come down from the rafters for one last ride.
